Barry Can't Swim

Get to know the artist

Edinburgh-born Barry Can't Swim makes electronic music that leaves room for both club energy and reflective songwriting. His debut When Will We Land? brought together formative influences; its follow-up Loner turned toward his own experience of a rapidly changing life as a touring artist.

Sound in context: Loner moves between the club-focused Different, the Kali Uchis-sampling Still Riding and the disco connection of Chosen. Cars Pass By Like Childhood Sweethearts and Marriage show the more reflective side. That range makes a full album a useful introduction.
Explore the catalogue: Choose Different for a short introduction, then compare Loner with the 2023 debut When Will We Land?. The label page links both albums, along with earlier releases such as More Content and Blackpool Boulevard.
