999999999 →
999999999 are an Italian duo, Carlo B. and Giovanni C., who make hard techno and acid techno and perform live with hardware only. The project began in 2016. They run the label NineTimesNine, and Planet Rhythm put out their track 300000003 in 2018, which introduced their acid techno to a much larger audience.
Charlie Sparks →
Charlie Sparks is a London-based techno and hard techno DJ and producer. His fast, high-energy sound mixes acid, industrial, rave and psytrance-flavoured grooves. He began making music while studying architecture. His records have come out on labels including Exhale, Possession and KR Records.
The venue
A round former gasholder on the Westergas site in Westerpark, now used for large ticketed concerts and club events. Awakenings and the Holland Festival were among the first to put on events there after gas production stopped.
